Using Piketon Housing
These terms govern your use of Piketon Housing. By using the service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use it. Our Privacy Policy describes how we handle information.
Piketon Housing is an independent property discovery and listing service for properties within 30 straight-line miles of the Piketon-PORTS Energy Site. We are not a real estate broker, agent, property manager, landlord or booking service, and are not affiliated with the energy site. Distance and location estimates are approximate and are not surveys or travel distances.
Accounts and your responsibilities
You must be at least 18 to create an account or post a listing. Provide accurate account information, keep your credentials secure, and contact us if you suspect unauthorized access. Do not impersonate another person or company, create accounts to evade limits, or interfere with the service.
Free listings, review and renewal
Standard custom listings and renewals are currently free. Each account can have up to 5 active or awaiting-review listings. Approved listings run for 60 days. You can renew free during the last 7 days or after expiration by signing in and confirming the property is still available, subject to the account limit and listing rules.
We send reminders approximately 7 days and 1 day before expiration, but delivery is not guaranteed. You remain responsible for checking and renewing listings. Expired listings leave public search until eligible renewal.
New and edited listings require review. We may reject, hide or remove inaccurate, duplicate, out-of-area, unauthorized or otherwise unsuitable listings and restrict accounts that misuse the service. Review does not verify ownership, legal compliance or property condition. Restoring an archived listing returns it to a private draft for editing and resubmission; it does not publish it automatically.
No paid plan is required today. Any future optional paid features will have their pricing and conditions disclosed before you choose to purchase them.
Listing accuracy and fair housing
Only advertise property you own or are authorized to represent. Provide accurate descriptions, prices, fees, availability, addresses and contact details. Update or withdraw a listing promptly when it is no longer available. Do not post sold properties as available, misleading offers, fraudulent requests or duplicates intended to bypass review.
Listings and communications must comply with applicable fair housing and nondiscrimination laws. Do not express unlawful preferences or limitations based on race, color, religion, sex, disability, familial status, national origin or other characteristics protected by applicable state or local law.
Your content and photos
You keep ownership of content you submit. You must have permission to use its text, photos and contact information. Do not upload private information about others without authorization, unlawful material, malicious files or content that infringes someone else’s rights.
You give Piketon Housing permission to store, resize, crop as directed, display and distribute your submitted content as needed to operate and promote your listing through the site and its property alerts. We may retain private copies for administration, moderation, recovery and backups after public removal, as described in our Privacy Policy.
Third-party listings and transactions
Collected listings, thumbnails and source links come from independent providers. We try to identify duplicates and keep information current, but details, availability, prices, attribution and photos can be incomplete or outdated. A source link or listing does not mean we endorse the property, advertiser or external website.
Confirm all details directly with the advertiser. We do not negotiate transactions, hold deposits, inspect properties or guarantee the identity of advertisers. Use care before sharing sensitive information or sending money. Agreements, showings, purchases, leases and bookings are between you and the other parties and may be subject to their terms.
Support, removal and copyright concerns
Use Contact / Feedback or “Report this listing” to report technical problems, inaccurate information, unauthorized listings or removal requests. Include the property address or link and explain your connection to the issue. Reports are reviewed and do not automatically remove a listing.
For copyright concerns, identify the protected work, the content or URL at issue, your contact details and your authority to request removal. Do not send passwords or sensitive identity documents. We may ask for additional information to investigate.
Service availability and limits
The service is provided as available. To the extent permitted by law, we do not warrant uninterrupted access, error-free information or suitability for a particular transaction. We are not responsible for losses caused by inaccurate third-party listings or dealings between users and advertisers, except where applicable law requires otherwise. Nothing in these terms limits rights or liabilities that cannot legally be limited.
Features, listing rules and availability may change. We may suspend service for maintenance, security or abuse prevention. Keep copies of information you need; the site is not a permanent archive.
